While trying to ignore my feelings about Big Mike and also trying to avoid the feeling that I might be getting sick again, I am working on my house.

I had my taxes done, which made me very happy. I don't owe anyone any money. That is always nice.

I finally got some pretty window dressings to take place of the hideous pink things that came with the house. Amy said the new stuff looked "gypsy" and "early American fortune teller". I think that is accurate! I LOVE the way my bay window looks even more now that it is all dressed up. I'm on the lookout for some pretty pillows to brighten up the couch and chair since the pillows on there now are made from the same brown fabric as the chair.

Next stop: my bedroom. One of H2's friends will be stopping by today to give me a quote for painting my room within the next week or so. Once that is done I can look for window dressings for it and possibly a new bedspread/quilt/something or other that I will constantly kick off the bed anyway.

I figure if I throw myself into my house and spending time with my friends maybe, just maybe, I'll busy myself up so much that I won't have time to dwell on trivial things like feelings.
