2007-10-14 - 8:23 p.m.

It was kind of a crappy week for me, but in the middle of all of it there were some really nice things too.

I'm choosing to concentrate on those.

- Jasper is doing SO much better.

- I got to talk to Laura on the phone for a little while. That's always a good thing.

- I had a dinner date with Flea to celebrate her birthday. Okay food, great conversation.

- Samantha told me I looked pretty and that I smelled good. Somehow a compliment means so much more when it comes from a beautiful child. (Especially because she will be the first to tell me when I look funny too!)

- An uplifting text message from Tracy came through at work right at the very moment when something I've been working so hard on for months was falling apart at the seams.

- I still dislike my hair, but it sure seems to be growing out quickly.

- Cindy gave me little silver skull & crossbone earrings for Halloween and she was so excited about them.

- Sharkie sent me a Halloween card.

- I tested my furnace and it worked!

- I made more smoothies.
