Much Ado About Nothing...

Amy's spellchecker didn't like NIPSCO and tried to replace it with DISCO. This gave us both a giggle. For those not from "Da Region" NIPSCO is the Northern Indiana Public Service Company. Utilities. Electric.That kinda stuff.

A cold caught me (one caught Flea too, but I'm sure two very different strains). I sneezed so hard my devil horns flew right off my head at work on Halloween. Kathy sprayed Zicam down my throat, made me take a Mucinex and gave me tea. Those lovely mom-types...

My stupid tub drain got clogged. Worse than it's ever been clogged before. Wayne, once again, save the day for my home with a great suggestion that WORKED. Don't know what I'd do without him.

I missed a flight Monday morning. I've never missed a flight in my life. I made it onto the next flight to St. Louis an hour later and all was good.

On my way home my flight was delayed. I was standing around and the nice gate lady asked if I was on the delayed flight. I said that I was and she asked I'd like to get on the flight that had just boarded. I think I scared her when I said in my outside voice "UH, YEAH!"

WOOHOO! I got my hour back. Well...sort of.

Laura said she was listening to Willie Nelson's version of 'The Rainbow Connection' and thought of me. She made me smile. I told her that I knew she wouldn't believe me, but I was listening to one of my Willie cd's in the car (I always have 4 with me) and that song was on it when I was driving home from the scareport Tuesday evening. It's true.

The travel expense reimbursement policy where I work leaves something to be desired. I have to wait a long time to be paid back for money I shouldn't have had to spend in the first place. With some of the financial stuff I've got going on, I can't afford this kind of thing. One particular bill that was due was late, which I will take most of the blame for. But I could pay it if I had my reimbursement for two of the trips I've had to take for work. Instead, what did I have to do? Play "Trading Checks With Cindy". She gives me a check for the bill and I give her a check that she can deposit on Friday. It sucks to have to do that.

Jina has been having a very bad week and I wish I could help. I just don't know how. Broken hearts make everyone feel helpless.

One of the ladies I work with dressed up for Halloween. And I don't mean like I dress up for work for Halloween. I wore a Halloween t-shirt and my devil horns. But this lady came dressed as a witch complete with green face, fake nose & hands, green wig...the works! She was awesome! Another woman dressed as a doctor and bought the girls orange pumpkin candle holders...except me. She got me a purple one with bats all over it. It was so thoughtful of her to remember that I love purple. You just never really know who is paying attention.

I received an apology that I'm not sure I'll accept. He said he hopes that I still have some love for him somewhere. I'm not sure I do.
