I was just telling someone that I was dragging my feet about updating. I guess I just haven't been in the mood. There has been a lot going on and I know I should be writing SOMEWHERE to get it out, but I haven't even wanted to write in my handwitten journal (still my favorite form).

But here is the past month at a glance.

2nd – Found out that I got the job. There was relief.

5th – Went to St. Joe, Michigan. There was Aqua Net Extra Super Hold, leather and lots of fun. Then there was crying.

6th – An e-mail (that was NOT “nasty”, by the way) was sent that has been talked about to practically everyone with the exception of ME yet, to date, has remained unanswered. There was disappointment.

8th – Official start date. There was paperwork and drug testing.

12th – Lots of stuff to do this day.
• Appliance shopping with Cindy. There was much money spent. She bought a refrigerator and a stove from Sears. I bought my clothes dryer from Home Depot. The people at Lowe's pissed me off beyond belief. The people at Home Depot more than made up for it.
• Had a four hour dinner with Jessica. There was deep conversation right up until they kicked us out.
• After dinner, I attended the Benefit for Beaver. There was a strange mix of live music and fundraising.

14th – Received unexpected e-mail from a guy I had written off months ago. He misses seeing me. There was much eye rolling.

16th – Got re-certified in CPR. There was much giggling, but no breathing. The instructor was smokin’ hot (but married).

17th – A former coworker retired. There was a party. I didn’t get home from work in time to attend. I was bummed.

18th – My new clothes dryer arrived. There was laundry to catch up…and I spent my Friday doing just that.

19th – Birthday Party for the Little Girl Nutjobs. There was a creepy, but talented, balloon guy and about a hundred kids INSIDE because it rained all day. I wanted to play on the trampoline.

20th – Took myself to the beach. There was too much time to think.

24th – Sold my first job at work. There was excitement…and not just mine.

26th - I finished painting the big bathroom. There are monkeys. Later in the evening I went to see a few bands play. There was a lot of hugging.

29th – Today I am going to jail in Chicago…for work. There will be surveying.
