I know, I know. Two entries in one day AGAIN.

I futzed around all day instead of going to the grocery store like I had planned. I just plain hate shopping. Malls and grocery stores are at the top of the list of places I will practically gnaw my own arm off to get out of going to.

My procrastination bit me in my giant behind and as soon as I got the the grocery store I got caught in a thunderstorm. Now, I might hate the grocery store but I love thunderstorms.

When it rains like this, there's no getting out of getting wet. There's no sense in 'waiting it out' because around here, you could be sitting in that parking lot a looooooong time. So I get out and leisurely walk in the rain. I mean, why should I run if I was immediately soaked to the bone the second I set food out of my truck, right?

I get inside and the storm is so bad that I can hear the thunder and the rain beating on the roof inside the noisy store. Apparently, I must have been the only one.

I quit counting how many people asked "Is it REALLY raining that hard out there?"

No. I just decided to wear a wet t-shirt to the store to see if I could get free groceries.

Ah well. It's all over now.

I came home, grilled steak (it was still raining a little), steamed veggies, smashed potatoes and filled a chilled glass with beer, changed into some dry clothes and had myself a wonderful Sunday dinner.
